Your responsibilities will be:
- Working of a sprint development cell specializing in backend PHP development;
- Working closely with client stakeholders to clarify requirements and demo functionality;
- Assisting in the technical architecture design phase of projects to design best practice solutions;
- Producing accurate estimates of technical effort to produce code components and frameworks, and delivering to these;
- Writing and self testing quality code components;
- Reporting status, risks and issues to the sprint lead;
- Assisting with testing of software components;
We would like to see:
- Open source CMS (Wordpress, drupal) experience;
- Database skills including: schema design and optimized SQL statement development;
- Technical application design skills, interpreting functional requirements into technical designs for editorial tools and frontend web applications;
- Competent HTML/CSS/XML skills including: semantic mark-up, accessibility standards and CSS design a plus;

| FRONT END DEVELOPER |
Responsibilities
- Working as member of a sprint development cell specialising in frontend development, e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP templates
- Cropping assets from design team supplied PSDs for use in CSS
- Working closely with client stakeholders to clarify requirements and demo functionality
- Assisting in the technical architecture design phase of projects to design best practise solutions
- Producing accurate estimates of technical effort to produce code components and frameworks, and delivering to these
- Writing and self testing quality code components
- Reporting status, risks and issues to the sprint lead
- Assisting with testing of software components and development of automated test cases
Requirements
- Very strong HTML/CSS/XML skills including: semantic mark-up, accessibility standards and cross browser CSS design
- Template languages (e.g. LESS/SASS/HAML) preferred
- Excellent JavaScript/backbone.js knowledge, experience of using and extending custom JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- PHP skills required
- A good understanding of best practice SEO and content optimisation
- Solid background in frontend web concepts, including SEO, advertising providers and web analytics integrations (Double-Click, Omniture, Google Search Appliance experience preferred)
- Java and Java template languages (e.g. Velocity/FreeMarker) preferred
- Experience working as a member of a small agile software development team, e.g. participating in planning sessions and interpreting user stories
- Familiarity with version control systems, issue trackers, wikis required
- Photoshop experience required
